Process Of Growth
Our next game against the Rams should excite fans for a lot of reasons. It going to be very interesting to go up against one of my former coaches in DC, Sean McVay, this week when we play the Rams. He loves to exploit matchups and hit the big play. He likes to create opportunities for particular playmakers in certain circumstances. He knows the game very well and he’s going to pose a big challenge for our defense this week. Luckily the challenge is what makes the game interesting, and in any event I’m looking to forward to seeing Sean again.
It’s also exciting that we are going to be playing the Rams defense that is lead by Wade Phillips. They play a cover-3, man scheme that is really similar to our defense runs. That gives us a chance to be familiar with some of the looks that they will give us when we take the field. They will consistently put 8 or 9 guys in the box to stop the run and rush the passer. They are a physical team that is going to try to impose their will early.
We are still embracing our process of growing as an offense right now. We want to be able to put more points on the board to help our defense out but that’s just not happening right now. We can’t let that frustrate us at this point, we just have to move forward to the next challenge. That challenge starts this weekend as we take on the Rams. It is a challenge that we are more than ready for. We put in the time, we put in the work, and now we need to go out there and show our fans what we are made of!
